This relatively young company was founded by Greg Medford, a former war veteran who participated in both Desert Storm and Operation Shield. In his youth, Greg was involved in the restoration of samurai swords in particular. The experience he gained both in military service and working with rare, antique swords was later put to good use in the development and production of Medford's own brand of knives.
So if you see a knife with the MKT logo anywhere, you can be sure that the hard and very precise work of a man who turned his military experience into truly combat-ready professional knives is behind its development.
