Now available is a new version of the Tuscan, the Tuscan S600 Black, made of Böhler S600 steel with a hardness of 64 HRC.

The great success achieved by the S600 steel products and the demands of enthusiastic customers have led to an expansion of the range of materials available for the Tuscan and now the manufacturer offers a version in S600 steel, which is appreciated for its exceptional performance and hardness.
Böhler S600 steel (64 HRC) is used for the production of metal products and tools for the production of punches.

The high molybdenum and tungsten content and the good representation of vanadium in its chemical composition ensure excellent properties of hardness, wear resistance and toughness. The presence of cobalt stimulates the growth of small uniformly distributed carbides, a property that further increases wear resistance.

The Tuscan S600 Black is hardened and cryogenically treated to achieve an exceptional hardness of 64 HRC; this makes it highly wear resistant and gives the blade a permanent sharpening. Böhler S600 contains 4.5% chromium, making it oxidisable. For this reason, Extrema Ratio has chosen the new EXP DARK Teflon-based finish.

The handle consists of 2 ergonomic handle sections with Extrema Ratio's new original design in G10 material. Thanks to this innovative handle, the Tuscan can be used comfortably with both standard and reverse grip, suitable with or without gloves.
The reversible Cordura sheath features a thigh strap for attachment to the hip and M.O.L.L.E system straps for carrying on tactical vests and belts.
