Extrema Ratio, the official supplier of Comsubin, revives this millennial tradition with the Estrema tactical axe, developed for the G.O.I. (Operational Raiders Group) of the Italian Navy.
The Estrema combines the robustness and speed of this historic weapon with technological innovation thanks to its cutting-edge design, offering a versatile and reliable tool for the most demanding missions. The Estrema is suitable as a tactical combat tool as well as a breaching tool and has been designed to face any challenge.
The name ‘Estrema’ (extreme) symbolizes the nature of this model; it is truly the most extreme product, the result of the Italian manufacturer's most extreme manufacturing experience.

The Estrema, made of Böhler N690 steel hardened to 54 HRC, has a Dark Stone finish.
The G10 handle offers two uses; gripping the end of the handle gives you a traditional handle, while the firmer grip favours a narrower use. The handle at its end can be used as a pry tool for opening doors and windows, as well as for cutting and opening sheet metal. In addition, it can be used as a lever or crowbar thanks to the taper.

The Estrema can be equipped with a hammer (striking mass) made of hardened carbon steel, which is hooked and unhooked from the axe-mlat by means of a locking mechanism with a safety against accidental disengagement.

The hammer is an optional accessory that can be purchased separately exclusively at www.extremaratio.com. The Estrema comes in an airtight technical case with an innovative design, inside of which is also a kydex sheath and belt clip.

The reversible kydex holster has been designed to offer a variety of carry modes and provide numerous options for attachment to the user's equipment.
It can be attached to a belt via the belt clip included with the holster, or it can be attached to any surface equipped with MOLLE system straps via paracord. The retention of the axe will be guaranteed by the natural shape of the kydex and its elasticity, supported by the webbing fastened with carabiners.
