DOBERMANN IV is an evolution of the first and most classic Extrema Ratio K1 DOBERMANN.

Since 1997, the DOBERMANN model has remarkably evolved its aesthetics and design according to ever-changing tastes and trends, while retaining the lineage of the original designs. DOBERMANN IV has flexibility of use and durability of construction as its main characteristics.
The DOBERMANN IV S600, like the model on which it is based, is a multi-purpose knife that can be used for hunting, survival, camping and military use.
The blade has a drop point tip, while the middle section has a repeatedly curved blade profile.
The grind, higher than knives of the same segment, is flat. This specific blade geometry allows the DOBERMANN IV knife to make precise and clean cuts in materials such as ropes, wood and branches, and can also be used for typical bushcraft and survival operations.

Unlike other DOBERMANN IV models, this one is made of Böhler S600 steel.
This material is used for the production of metal and stamping tools. The high content of molybdenum, tungsten and a good representation of vanadium in its chemical composition ensure excellent properties of hardness, wear resistance and toughness.
The presence of cobalt stimulates the growth of small uniformly distributed carbides which improve mechanical properties such as bending capacity.
The blade of the DOBERMANN IV S600 knife is hardened and cryogenically treated to achieve an exceptional hardness of 64 HRC; this makes it highly wear-resistant and provides the blade with lasting sharpness.

Böhler S600 contains 4.5% chromium, which makes it oxidisable. For this reason, Extrema Ratio has chosen the new EXP DARK Teflon-based coating.

The DOBERMANN IV S600 is equipped with a green forpren handle.
It has a head that acts as a glass breaker protruding from the handle; this is fitted with a lanyard hole.

DOBERMANN IV S600 - fitted with a thigh holster made of cordura, also in green, compatible with the M.O.L.L.E. attachment system and can be adapted to left- or right-handed users.
