Recon Tanto in San Mai® is a solid knife with unique features for sec. Its blade and tip, as well as the shape of the handle, are directly developed to concentrate crushing force in the sec. San Mai III technology is based on the practices of Japanese sword makers. It is a sandwich blade composition of layers of different hardness - the middle layer is made of hard steel with a high carbon content, the top two layers are made of steel much tougher to prevent the middle layer from cracking. This makes the blade as resistant as possible to blade loss without the risk of breakage. The perfectly shaped Kraton knife handle offers a non-slip surface. It fits perfectly in the hand and allows even very delicate knife handling in wet and muddy environments.
