The M311 SPELTER was developed in cooperation with members of Forward Air Controllers, Close Protection Teams and Special Air Operations units. The knife was also developed with input from members of the military and security community. In developing the knife, we focused on leveraging their experience and requirements. This unique collaboration allowed us to truly validate the quality of the materials chosen, the design and the overall craftsmanship of the product. The knife has been tested over a long period of time in extreme environments and different climates from hot, dry or humid parts of Asia to freezing regions beyond the Arctic Circle.

This blade is made from one of the best steels in the world, Swedish Elmax. This premium steel runs through the entire body of the knife, right down to the very base of the handle, which is fitted with a glass-breaking tip. The blade is coated with an extremely durable DLC (Diamond-like Carbon) finish that minimizes glare, prevents corrosion and gives the steel surface great sliding properties. We produce the handle by 3D turning from Micarta material, which thanks to its shape and grooves fits perfectly in the hand and gives the knife a secure grip in any situation. The knife is equipped with a safety paracord bracelet to prevent it falling out of the hand during chopping techniques. The entire construction is held together by a combination of solid threaded bushings and a quartet of M5 screws also DLC-treated. Comfortable, reliable and safe carrying of the knife, is ensured by the self-locking kydex sheath, which is fitted with holes for attachment to the
blade-tech system, allowing for carrying on both tactical molle and pals binding. A generous drain hole allows for easy and quick holster maintenance. Along with the kydex holster, we supply a sling for comfortable belt carry.
