Design by requirements – this is the Credo of the legendary blacksmiths TOPS located in Idaho in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. The company has an extremely high level of official input since many of TOPS employees can look back at a long career in the Police or Military and still have a lot of connections with the authorities. Each model is tested for at least 6 months under field conditions before it goes into serial production. The utterly sturdy knife blades are primarily made of the frequently approved 1095 carbon steel and protected against corrosion with a special abrasion-resistant powder coating (developed especially for TOPS). This so-called traction coating has passed the particularly demanding salt spray test of the US Military for 7 days. Due to the sturdiness and reliability, TOPS knives are particularly appreciated as important items of equipment by the Allied Forces in present areas of crisis. The Back Bite comes up with an innovative concept. The two-edged blade has a primary concave shape as well as a secondary Wharncliffe edge. The knife has been designed for the so-called icepick handle. The blade is made of black-coated 1095 carbon steel. Due to the canvas Micarta handle scales with red fiber underlays the knife rests securely and comfortably in your hand. These characteristics and the Kydex sheath make it the perfect back-up knife. Includes emergency whistle.
